Beach Clean-up
Aloha Families!
I discovered this amazing event through Facebook, and would like to extend the invitation to our keiki and their families. This is a great tie-in as well, as we just learned about the historical importance of this area. I have just copy and pasted the event text in here. If there are any issues or questions, feel free to ask. :)

Let’s clean an important sacred space and beach, Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau.
Even with the federal government shutdown impacting our National Parks, we can make a positive impact. See West Hawaiʻi Today’s recent article: http://www.westhawaiitoday.com/2019/01/05/hawaii-news/shutting-down-national-park-closure-creates-sprawling-consequences-in-around-honaunau-bay/amp/.
Trash bags and gloves will be provided but here are a few suggested things to bring:
-Comfortable clothing and foot wear to cleanup trash at the beach and around the park
-Garden or work gloves
-Sunscreen, hat and sun protection
-Water
***Please carpool to save on parking as the park's lot is closed.
Sign-up and RSVP for headcount by emailing [email protected]. Any questions can be referred to Kirstin at (808) 319-8731.
