This won't be updated frequently, but is a great place for things that don't change!

End of year Farewell Video

This is the video that was played during our last Google Meet. I'll miss you all!!!
We got the meet Uncle Dave and learn about volcanoes today! Thank you Bonnie and La'akea for helping demonstrate proper attire around active volcanoes.

Save our Oceans!

Yesterday we were able to watch the Middle School Global Scholars' presentation about cleaning up sea debris. As a part of their project, they even created a website to help further their cause, as well as a PSA that is being played publicly. Here is the website for your information, I know our students really enjoyed it!

Some Updates

Aloha Amazing families of my amazing students!
I'm just clarifying and informing of a few things:
The first: Your student may have mentioned that I do Student Led Conferences at the end of the year. Normally, I do. However, this year, I just do not have the time. Your students are still writing what they would have said to you, so be on the lookout for a "Summary of 4th Grade, " "What I've grown the most in," and "What I still need to work on."

Which brings me to my second thing: I am going to be out of the classroom starting on May 9th, and back on May 20th. I'm out because I am going to New Hampshire to attend Graduation for my Master's Degree (Finally!!!)! I am extremely excited, though I am bummed that I'm missing so much time with your kiddos.

The substitute will be Ms. Needler. She is incredible, and is a trained, licensed teacher, and probably better than I am! If you have any questions, feel free to call me, e-mail me, or send me a note.

Last Week...

Parents/Guardians,
I want to apologize for this last week, especially in the homework department. I was not prepared enough, and definitely did not plan to take Friday off. It's always a little inconvenient when toddlers spike high fevers. Hopefully next week will be more regular, and I can get ahead in the paperwork department. Keep an eye out for REPORT CARDS next week too!

Spring Cleaning! These amazing kids made this room practically spotless! We are so ready for 4th quarter, and the final stretch of 4th grade. See you March 25th!!

Pu’uwa’awa’a

We had so much fun on the field trip! Head on over to the “photos” section to see what all we did!

Momo

Parents/guardians,
Today we talked about a disturbing challenge or "game" that is going around on social media. Part of the challenge is basically asking the kids to hurt others and themselves, but specifically mentions to tell NO ONE, not even you. We discussed it, and I've opened myself up as someone to talk to. Please be vigilant with what your students are doing online. A quick Google Search of the "Momo Challenge" will give you a lot more information. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out.
