Aloha and welcome to E-103! I am so excited to be here at Waikoloa School. More importantly, I am so LUCKY to be your child’s 1st-grade teacher! It’s going to be a fun year full of learning and new adventures. I cannot wait to see what the year has in store for us. Please download the ParentSquare app to ensure you won't miss out on the excitement and latest events in E-103!

Successful First Day!

Aloha Families,

It was a long first day back but we made it through! We learned about the rules and routines in our classroom. We started our reading, math, and Positive Action curricula!  Plus, we read a story about how to lose your friends and then the students came up with ways to keep their friends. You can find their "Keys to Friendship" on our door. In a rush to get out on time, I forgot to send home their Thursday envelopes. Please expect them tomorrow and turn in all paperwork by Friday. Also, we have P.E. tomorrow and sneakers are required.

Mahalo,
Ms. Barsetti

First Day of School Tomorrow

I hope everyone has had a great summer and I look forward to meeting you tomorrow!

Summer Learning

Don't forget that students can continue to use MobyMax this summer. I've opened up all tabs for students to explore. Students can also email me throughout the summer on MobyMax messages. I plan on checking it once a week. I've already received a few messages and replied back! Have a safe and fun summer!

On the last day of school, we had an award ceremony. Students walked down the red carpet to receive their awards!
Thank you to everyone who sent in heartfelt cards, gorgeous flowers, and delicious fruit and sweets! Plus, the sea of red clothes and the silly socks made me smile! Mahalo again for a great week!

Fun Run

Our annual Fun Run will be on Monday, May 23. Please send your child in tennis shoes. Mahalo!

Ho'olaulea- Friday, May 20th at 8:30am

Please join us for Ho'olaulea! Students have been working hard all year and would love for you to watch them perform. Please send your children in Aloha wear (or dressy clothes) and sunscreen. Don't forget to send them with a big bottle of water. Also, I will have a sign out form if you wish to leave after Ho'olaulea. ~Mahalo!

During art, students learned about pointillism and Georges Seurat. They used q-tips to paint their masterpieces!
