Today, students decided which candy was the best candy to send to a friend at camp and it had to travel in a car without any air conditioning. Ask them the results (jelly beans, Starburst, gummy bears, or chocolate).
Sudents completed an experiment to see which material was best for insulting heat and conducting heat. Ask them how they can fry an egg on the sidewalk and why!
During science, students learned about different materials and its properties. Students pretended they were stuck on a deserted island with only their bathing suits and a few items. They had to use the items to create a hat to protect their face and neck. Ask them what materials they used and why.
Look at our "Seeing Red" glasses! Ask your children about the positive actions they can do to help them calm down when they are angry.
After reading a Scholastic News on voting, students participated in voting for the two main presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Clinton beat Trump 17 to 3.

During our fall party, we learned about the bones in our bodies, created pasta skeletons, and ate a lot of treats! Take a look at our Fall Party photo album for more photographs!
We will have our Fall Party on Monday, October 31st. Students may wear costumes. Weapons or masks are not allowed, but face paint is acceptable.
