Dear H203 'Ohana,
Just one more week before spring break!  .... Our Essential Question for this week is:  How can we protect the Earth?  Please see the attached outline for more details.  
Homework:
Monday:  Write spelling words 4 times
Tuesday:  Field Trip:  No homework
Wednesday:  Write an explanatory paragraph about field trip using Imiloa as an example
Thursday:  Study for LA assessments
Math:  Daily worksheets (learning about measurement in centimeters and meters)
Reading:  Please read Weekly Reader and other books for 20 minutes daily.  Please talk about it, log into reading log, have a grown-up sign.

2nd grade is celebrating Dr. Seuss Week.  Monday was Hat Day.  Thanks to Alyssa’s great idea, we made paper hats to wear for the day!

Monday:  Write spelling words four times
Tuesday:  Comprehension Worksheet on sequencing
Wednesday:  Write a explanatory paragraph on the different kinds of books you read.  Explain how they are the same and different.
Thursday:  Study for your LA assessments
Math:  Daily worksheets focusing on three-digit addition
Reading:  Please read your weekly reader daily on Wonders website, focusing on comprehension (sequencing), and fluency, talk about it, log into reading log, have an adult sign.

Wednesday:  Write an explanatory text about what your job and your parent's job are at home.
Thursday:  Study for LA assessments
Math:  Daily worksheets (We are now on Module 9:  Adding three-digit numbers and introduction to centimeters and meters)
Reading:  Please read your Weekly Reader on-line daily focusing on point of view - who's telling the story, fluency, and comprehension), talk about it, log in reading log, have a grown-up sign.

Math:Daily worksheet (approaching the end of module 8 - Please practice subtraction using number line, regrouping, base model concept, and telling time in 5 minute intervals
Reading:  Please read your on-line Weekly Reader focusing on point of view, talk about it, log in reading log, have a grown-up sign.
