Reading:  Please read Weekly Reader daily and/or other books for 20 minutes, log in reading log, talk about it, log into reading log, have an adult sign.

     We have a very short week.... Our Essential Question will be:  What are we thankful for?
Homework:
Monday:  Study for re-do of spelling test by doing a word search
Tuesday:  Comprehension worksheet
Wednesday:  Write an opinion letter to Mrs. Lawson we should have more school days this week.  Why or why not?
Thursday:  No School.  Thanksgiving Day
Friday:  No School.  School holiday
Math:  Daily worksheet
Reading:  Please read turkey book and any other reading article for at least 20 minutes daily, talk about it, log in reading log, have a grown-up sign.

Dear H203 'Ohana,
     We have another short four day week.  We honor all the brave men and women who have served our country.  This week's Essential Question is:  How do the Earth's forces affect us?  
Homework:
Monday:  No School - Veteran's Day
Tuesday:  Write spelling words four times, plus Comprehension worksheet
Wednesday:  Write a how-to paragraph on making a classroom mural.  
Thursday:  Study for your tests
Math:  Daily worksheet (Adding two digit numbers using tens and ones strategy)
Reading:  Please read Weekly Reader daily focusing on vocabulary words, fluency, comprehension (re:  author's purpose), also a book of your choice to read for 20 minutes daily, talk about it, log in reading log, have a grown-up sign.
Please kokua:  I'm hoping to teach a science/art lesson and need empty toilet paper cardboard rolls (or paper towel, gift wrap tube cardboard rolls).  Please have your child bring one in for their project.  Mahalo!

This week's Essential Question is:  What do we love about animals ? (Animals in poems).  Please refer to the attached outline for this week's spelling words and other details.

Tuesday:  No School - Election Day
Wednesday:  Write a how-to direction to get to school from your home.
Thursday:  Study for tests worksheet
Math:  Daily Worksheets (please refer to attached Module 5)
Reading:  Please read weekly reader, focusing on comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency, talk about it, log into reading log, have a grown-up sign.
FYI:  We had fun creating our habitat murals so far:  tundra, ocean, grasslands and individual posters for a bear's habitat.  We will be working on the desert, and a more detailed ocean mural.

Aloha H203 'Ohana,
We will be busy with parent/teacher conferences this week so we will be skimming through some of our topics instead of going in depth due to time constraints.  Our Essential Question is:  How are offspring like their parents?  Please refer to the attached outline for spelling words.  
Homework:
Monday:  Write spelling words 4 times
Tuesday:  Comprehension worksheet
Wednesday:  Write a paragraph on how to brush your teeth
Thursday:  Study for tests
Math:  Daily worksheets (focusing on measurement of length in inches and feet)
Reading:  Please read your weekly readers to practice for fluency, vocabulary and comprehension, talk about it, log into reading log and have a grown-up sign.  Also, read other books or articles at your reading level.  Read for at least 20 minutes daily
 
Science:  We are having fun focusing on life science (animals and their habitats), complementing our Wonders stories. Can't wait to show our habitat murals we've been working on!
