Mahalo Nui Parents & Students!

Aloha,
I wanted to thank all of the parents and students who worked hard collecting various components for our Roller Coaster Project~it is making a huge difference to have so many supplies for the students to use while building.

All teams have submitted their blueprints and building plans AND received their building permits!

Construction has commenced!

Cannot wait to see their structures!  Will be posting pictures of the process so keep an eye out for those.

Purple Up! day on April 21

DOE is sponsoring a Purple Up! day on April 21 to celebrate all our military and dependents. Join in if you'd like by wearing purple that day.

Building Supplies needed...

The 6th graders will be do some building (in the future) and they will need paper towel rolls, toilet paper rolls, cereal/Kleenex/soda boxes, and cardboard. If everyone can start saving them that would be great! If you want to send them to school between now and the the build, that would be totally fine.  We are going to put everything together then distribute equally among all the groups. The more the supplies there are, the better the builds will be. (I can't tell you what they will be building, it will spoil the surprise!😉)
*They will be provided with one roll of clear tape, so if they want more or other supplies, They will need to be provided by them/you (paint, string, masking tape, additional tape, etc).
Thank you for supporting the students' learning!

Paper Recycyling

Trying to put together a paper recycling program and the only aspect holding us back is pickup and delivery of the paper to be recycled.

Looking for volunteers to pickup and take paper recycling to Waimea or Kona Transfer Station once per month. Maybe folks could volunteer for a specific month to reduce the commitment level?

if interested, please let me know!
