In Module 11, students will be...

  • Using place value to subtract three-digit numbers
  • Exploring and relating multiplication (equal groups) and division (sharing and repeated subtraction)

 

Dr. Seuss and Read Across America Week

     We will be celebrating Dr. Seuss and Read Across America Week from Monday, February 29th - Friday, March 4th. Our big extravaganza will be Thursday night for Parent Night at the school Plex. 2nd Grade’s theme will be Dr. Seuss and we will have performances, student work displayed, giveaways, a photo booth, and snacks. It will be from 5:30 P.M. – 6:30 P.M.

 

Dr. Seuss Week Daily Themes:

Monday:        Cat In the Hat                 (Wear a Hat)
Tuesday:       Fox in Socks                  (Wear Crazy Socks)
Wednesday: Wacky Wednesday        (Wear wacky clothes)
Thursday:    Green Eggs and Ham    (Wear something Green)
Friday:       Oh, the Places You’ll Go!  (Dress up as you future career)

Math Letter to Home #9

In Module 9, students will estimate answers for addition and subtraction within 100 & use the associative property of addition to add three or four numbers.
Students will also, identify one-half, one-fourth, and one-third of a collection or region & explore and analyze fractions and parts of a whole.
