Here we go again! I am looking forward to another AMAZING school year. At the Back-to-School-Bash, we gave away backpacks and supplies to our migrant ed students. We're trying to spread the word about the program! An application went out in the Thursday Envelope last week. When parents turn them in, I send them to Waimea and Ms. Bertelmann will contact parents who qualify for the program. If you have any questions, please contact me at 808-883-6808 x262.
I'm excited to be teaching 7th and 8th grade EL language arts classes again. The classes are small, so students get a lot of one-on-one help. We are focusing on academic language, reading for understanding, and will be doing a lot of writing, too. YES!
