Homework & Reminders 11/19

Field trip forms and money are due tomorrow 11/20!  Be sure to get those in!

I am happy to report that overall students did well on HSA Reading!

Don't forget we have our HSA Math test on Thursday morning, so make sure students are well fed and rested please.

We have a math quiz on Topic 6 tomorrow and will then be moving on to double digit multiplication.  Please ensure your student completes their Study guide (11/19) math HW, because they will be able to use this as a resource on the test.

3) finish draft 2 of opinion writing essay.

-draft 1 is self and peer edited.   Draft 2 should be a reflection and revision of student identified errors.

 

Hw Friday 11/8

1)  Read 20 minutes a day and log it down

2)  finish all unfinished homework

3)  finish first draft for writing persuasive paper

Summary of Classwork

SCIENCE
Students are learning about classifying plants and animals.  Plants are classified in 3 ways: Vascular (with tubes), Nonvascular, and funghi.


LANGUAGE ARTS

Students have also begun writing their persuasive papers.

Subject:  Should video games be allowed in libraries?

Focus: Giving a reasonable opinion statement, providing  relevant reasons, and supporting those reasons with facts, details, and personal experiences.

Math

Rounding numbers then multiplying them using different strategies such as breaking apart.
