Coach Putnick's Elementary Physical Education Class!

Aloha! My name is Rich Putnick and I am extremely excited to be teaching P.E. to the elementary grade levels at Waikoloa School. My last P.E. teaching position was at Sigsbee Charter School on Naval Air Station Key West in Florida.

 

I have been working with kids since I was first hired to be a summer camp counselor at my local YMCA when I was 15 years old. 

 

I have also taught exercise science at the university level. 

 

The classes I teach will be focused on developing self-esteem, learning how to be a supportive teammate and developing a positive attitude through sport and movement. 

 

It is my goal to develop life-long movement habits while using positive reinforcement with a focus on having fun and doing your best.
