Welcome to Mr. Kellerman's Home Page!
Aloha! I am very excited to be teaching a variety of Middle School Elective classes this year at Waikoloa School, including 8th Grade High School Prep, Physical Education, Computer Science, and Yearbook. I will also be assisting Ms. Hatanaka in her 7th Grade Social Studies classes.
This is my first year teaching following a 25 year career in High Tech in the Bay Area of San Francisco, where I lived with my wife and two kids. I was born in Puerto Rico, but we moved back to my father's home island of Oahu when I was 18 months old. I was raised in Kailua (Oahu), and after high school attended UCLA on a water polo scholarship, where I earned a BA in English Literature. When my kids were younger I spent 12 years coaching their soccer, baseball and volleyball teams through 8th grade, and served as our school's baseball commissioner for 2 years and volleyball commissioner for 3 years.
My family and I moved to to this wonderful community of Waikoloa Village in the summer of 2025, and in my free time (or before school) you may find me ocean swimming/working out at Hapuna Beach, out for a walk, playing an occasional round of golf, or at home fighting with our Bougainvillea hedge.
