Mrs. Aughe ~ 6th Grade English/Language Arts | 8th Grade Advisory

Hi! My name is Hayley Aughe, and I’m proud to teach Sixth Grade English/Language Arts (ELA) at Waikoloa Elementary & Middle School. I was born and raised here on the Big Island and I have eleven years of experience teaching middle school ELA. I have a Bachelors of Science in English from Corban University and a Master's of Education in Teaching from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. I spent seven years teaching Eighth Grade and this is my fourth year teaching Sixth Grade. I’m passionate about helping students grow as readers, writers, and critical thinkers. In my classroom, we explore literature, build strong writing skills, and develop a lifelong love for learning. I believe in creating a supportive and engaging environment where every student feels valued and inspired to do their best. I’m excited to live and teach in the Waikoloa community and look forward to a great year together!
