Report cards went home today!

Your child did not have their Reading log today because they are to read their report card with you and discuss it if possible! Have fun and celebrate, your student has worked hard this semester.

Now that the review of the many things they learned in kindergarten is close to being done, the assimilation of new things will begin!

To make a rainforest you have to have careful planning. First the understory and the basement (In other words the rivers, lakes and marshes). The cool stuff lives here! All kind of insects, anteaters, snakes, fish, alligators, and four legged creatures. Did I say snakes?

Then the Understory, where all the dangerous animals live! Jaguars, snakes, leopards, and other meat eaters........but we love to make them!

Then the Canopy layer with all the flowers, lizards, snakes and a few monkeys!

Last, but not least, the Emergent layer! We love our butterflies, the blue kind. (Blue morpho butterflies.)

Building a rainforest is a complicated thing! But we made it and we populated it all by ourselves.....

Parent/Teacher Conferences
