Aloha amazing 5th Graders!

I’m so sorry I’m not able to be with you today. I have a dental appointment that I’ve already rescheduled once, so I guess I have to go this time. 😓 I’d rather be with you! Please be respectful to Mr. Smith, your guest teacher for today. Do your best to complete all of today's work.

Here is the plan for today:

Finish your spreadsheet projects. Most of you are on #2, about the height of mountains around the world.
A few reminders, if you need them:
to find Average, use Insert>Formula>AVERAGE. Click and drag the cells you want to average.
to find smallest, use insert>Formula>MIN. Click and drag the cells you want to use.
to find largest, use Insert>Formula>MAX. Click and drag the cells you want to use.
To shade cells, first select them, then use the paint bucket (fill) tool to choose a color.
to make a chart, first select the data, then Insert>Chart. You can label the chart and change colors in the chart by using the Chart Editor.

Take the Spreadsheet Quiz. It has 10 questions. Read all the answers carefully before choosing the correct one.

In typing.com, practice typing paragraphs. There is a fun activity called Make Your Own Story. You can find it here:

Use the links provided to research the history of emojis and the reason they were invented. Follow directions on the attached Google Doc to complete the assignment.

Use Google Earth to find the locations on the chart. Fill in the chart and turn in when finished.
