Aloha,

 

My name is Tonya Duncan and I am Waikoloa's Student Service Coordinator (SSC). I have been in education for about 10 years and have the most experience in Special Education.This is my third year as SSC.

 

As an SSC I am often the person parents and teachers reach out to when their child/student is having challenges academically or behaviorally. My goal is help students receive an appropriate education that meets their needs, while helping parents understand the process involved for students who have disabilities. When a child is referred for Special Education or Section 504 Services, the terminology, timelines and process can be overwhelming and confusing, so if you ever have questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.
