This week the students reread a folktale, A Tale of a Tail, with a partner. Ask your child how the beaver got his flat tail.
Thank you for all the treats, goodie bags, and gifts.  The students loved all the treats and exclaimed that today was the best day ever! Have a great Winter Break. I'll see you on Tuesday, January 7th. ~Ms. Barsetti
They've been working hard on their writing! We ate gingerbread man cookies to help us practice using the words first, next, then, and last.

Expo Markers

Our class is in need of EXPO markers. We can probably make it until our winter break, but we'll definitely need more for next semester. If you are able, please consider donating any amount you can.

Mahalo,
Ms. Barsetti

It was a short but busy week! First, we learned about the Wampanoag Tribe and the pilgrims. Then for an art project, the students disguised a turkey to save it from being eaten for Thanksgiving dinner. They also visited the Navigator Buck store and went shopping. Each classmate even pitched in 10 Navigator bucks so that our class can have an ice cream party! Last, Kinet won an art contest and received an amazing trophy!

Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy this long holiday weekend!
~Ms. Barsetti
Our field trip was a success! The students did an excellent job riding on the bus and they had fun walking through the rain forest. Mahalo nui loa to all the parent chaperones, because I couldn't have done it without you!

Field Trip Reminder: Friday, November 1st

Students will need closed-toe shoes, home lunch, water, sunscreen already on, and jackets.

Chaperones please go to Ms. Johnson's class at 8:05 am to review the schedule and expectations for the day.
