Hello everyone, this tutorial will explain how to manage photos videos and documents within your blog. I sent you a link that you can practice using during today's session. You can also navigate to this page by locating my page under the Find Our Teachers website I suggest that you keep a folder on your desktop to organize your blog's images and other files. You can also create subfolders within this folder to organize your images, documents and videos. Let's start by downloading a few images from the Blog Refresher Website. If you scroll down and click on this arrow, you can see that there's several image files and documents and videos located here. To download a file, simply click on the link and then right click, and choose save image as... and you can save it to your folder on your desktop. To save a video, right-click to save video as. and, same thing... in the folder that you created. .pdfs can be downloaded by hovering near the top right-hand corner of the screen and clicking the download option and then choosing the location where you'd like to save. Okay, now let's add some material to our Blog Page. You can add photos to the Main page, Posts. or Photo Album. Use the image tool in the main section of the page, or in the side section, to upload images. It's going to create a new box that looks like this and you simply click upload and click- from our computer and from our image folder we can select whatever images we want to upload. I'm going to do several at once Click Open Hey, I skipped over one section.  Real quickly there, you have the option of displaying photos in a slideshow or in a stack. And those options are right here under Display mode: either rotate as a slideshow or stacked vertically. And... it takes a few seconds make sure you save your changes, and then go to the public view to make sure that they are posting okay. You can also use the photo upload tool in the Posts page or in the Photo Album page; just look for the same icon to upload images To upload a video there's a couple of different ways that you can do it. You can either upload the video file itself, or copy the embed code and embed the video in a page. I'm going  to show you both ways to do it. First, on our main page, we're going to add a textbox, and then in a text box at the top of the toolbar here there's a button here that allows you to insert media. We can embed a video in our Blog Page by copying the embed code. Like on YouTube, for example, if you click on the video you can even choose where you want to start the day and then you just copy the code and go back to your Admin Page,  and using the insert Media Link we're going to the 'embed' option. Paste the code and save it and then your video will appear right on your page. The other way to add a video to your blog site is by adding a video page. If you go back to your pages screen and click Add Page, and  Videos, then New video or Audio and actually, you can do the embed code here as well. Upload and I have the sample on your desktop so we're just going to use that one but you can you can download images from Discovery Streaming and other sites that allow you to download complete videos, or you may have one that you created yourself. So, we'll try this one. And, as it's uploading you want to go ahead and give the video a title. This just tells you where are you where it's going to show up so you can you put it in post or not,  just in the teacher demo page.  And save, and the video shows up like this. Let's go back and check and see what it looks like. When you click and it's just a thumbnail, but you can click to make it full-size. and you can expand it. By the way, under your page management selection menu here, if you go to pages, one thing that you can do while you're kind of experimenting with your pages you can choose the Unpublilsh option In that way the page is not visible online until you're ready to show it. Okay, one last thing I want to show you is how to add attachments We're going to add a... I'm clicking the Files option at the bottom, and of course you just upload it. One thing that they've changed this year that  is  kind of nice is that PDF files can be displayed as images.For example, let's use this KTA flyer and open it it appears as a link here but you noticed that when you click that over here on it this is display options so we can choose the size of it wanted to display and it will actually display right right on the page you can also upload Google Docs Word document slideshows 37 kinds of document but they will just appear is a Google doc that has them you might want to experiment with inserting some links find out by just scrolling down here for example of yours one for Imagine Learning so if I right click on it cantu's copy the link URL and then I'm going to go to my website name for your link or type it in and I will highlighted and click the link to all kcur all that we copied and texted already there say that again let's go back to our public page and reload it is to check and make sure that it works here's a link to Imagine Learning click great fantastic as always you want to be cognizant of the Furious guidelines and copyright laws that apply to any images or videos including your blog also checked your website knows and make sure that you are images of students that have permission to do so congratulations on making website that much better and thank you for listening
